So today was an unofficial TWLOHA day...

a student informed me this morning and promptly let me use her sharpie.

The month of March is also Kidney Disease Awareness Month...I know this because my cousins just had a baby whose kidneys needed to be removed and the poor baby is on dialysis among other things.

Also, American Diabetes Alert Day is coming up...not sure when, but this is close to my heart as well.

My dad is diabetic.

So I searched, and there are a TON of causes in March.

Crochet Craze

so hats off to the new year...more like hats galore!

a student last year encouraged me to look up how to make a sock monkey hat...i finally did it!

i made this hat for my friend, shannie.

i made a small purse to resemble toast with jelly on it. the other side is tan to resemble the toast side.

my friends and i made 50 hats for babies in afghanistan

one night, i felt particularly goofy and crocheted a mustache.

i made shannie's kids kitty cat hats to their specifications, with hearts and flowers, of course for their birthday...naturally, with matching mustaches...(shannie took this picture).

So, it's been a while...(turning over a new leaf)

So it's been a while since I have updated.

We moved to Greenville back in August.  Boy has it been interesting...

I have more allergies than I knew existed...grain smut...what's that?  Other than that and being away from family, things have been pretty good.  We are making friends with really great people, so that has helped a lot.

Anyways, I was just discussing the whole blog thing with my friend tonight as we watched her children climb around the tubey play land at McDonalds.  I think that my purpose for this blog has changed....I wasn't sure why I created this particular one in the first place.  My days of xanga rants are over...since I'm not in college anymore.  A lot of people use blogs for pictures, and I think I shall cheerfully hop onto that bandwagon.

it's amazing how the tides turn...

So, the lazy, hazy days are over....the crazy days have come.

Bret and I will be moving soon.  This means packing and pitching.  Cardboard boxes...which apparently psychologically affect my dear husband (nightmares of Borders stocking rear their ugly heads).

This means no more boredom filled afternoons...in a way I'm very grateful for this.  The other part of me is going, "OMG...will we get it all done in time?  Will I have time to chill?"  

It wouldn't be me if it weren't crazy.  It'll all work out in a strange way...as it already seems to be.

lazy hazy crazy days of summer

I have found myself to be caught between boredom and "hit the ground runnin'" lately.  I'll have a day where I am traveling a lot nonstop, exhausted, etc. The next, I won't know what to do with myself and find myself doing pretty much nothing (and hating every moment).

A common saying is, "Teachers have 3 reasons for being teachers: June, July, August."  I disagree...if I didn't have a summer job right now, who knows where I would be right now.

I feel very in between right now...kinda waiting for stuff to happen.  Anyone else feel that way?
